Software Ideas is a simple platform, open to every Tower customer. You suggest a change you want. Other retailers vote on it. Our development manager reviews what rises to the top and turns the most-wanted ideas into real features in the Retailer software. It is transparent by design: you can see what has been suggested, what people are voting for, and what is coming.

You suggest an idea for a change or new feature, straight from your own experience on the shop floor. Other retailers running Tower vote on it and add their own, so the best ideas rise to the top. Our team reviews what's most wanted and builds it into a regular software update, and you choose when to install it.

This is not a suggestion box that goes nowhere. Your peers are genuinely shaping the product you use every day, and they have been for years. Software Ideas itself has been rebuilt and improved over time to make it easier to take part. You also stay in control of updates: we tell you what is in an update in advance, and you decide whether and when to install it. We like that part, the democracy of it.

It is a fair question to ask any POS company: how do you decide what to build? At Tower, customers shape the roadmap by public vote, not head office and investors. You can see what is coming, and you choose when to install updates instead of having them pushed on you. It is built by people who have run shops themselves, since 1981. Independent, specialty retail is all we do. When you suggest something, you are talking to a company that serves around 3,000 to 3,500 independent retailers across Australia and New Zealand, not a global platform juggling enterprise chains.

Does every idea get built? No, and we are honest about that. Ideas are reviewed and prioritised by customer votes and practicality. If the feature you need is not there yet, suggest it through Software Ideas, and talk to our help desk in the meantime. They will often show you a way to do what you need in the current version while your idea is considered. If you are not a customer yet, know that once you are, you have a real voice in where the software goes. That is part of what you are joining.
