POS software built for spare parts shops
Tower Systems makes POS software for independent spare parts shops in Australia and New Zealand. It sells by weight or measure, tracks serial numbers and holds notes against each product, such as compatibility details, loaded from supplier databases. Trade pricing and account customers suit mechanics and other trade buyers.
On a spare parts counter, the job is finding the right part quickly. A customer walks in with a model number, an old part in a bag or just a description, and they want an answer before they leave. Tower Systems software is built to help your team get there faster.
Each part can carry notes, such as which models it fits, loaded from your supplier databases, so the answer is on screen when the customer asks. Staff can search by barcode, part description or brand. Items such as hose, chain and cable sell by length or weight. Serial numbers are tracked from arrival to sale, which makes warranty claims easier. When a part isn't on the shelf, you can take a special order and a deposit, and the customer gets an SMS or email when it arrives.
Trade customers get their price automatically at the counter. Their accounts run with credit limits, statements and aged balances. You can quote a job and set the stock aside, load supplier invoices automatically and send everything through to Xero, MYOB or Reckon. The Insights Dashboard shows which parts move and which are tying up shelf space and cash.
Can I hold compatibility notes against each part?
Yes. Product notes, such as which models a part fits, can be held against each item and loaded from supplier databases. Staff see the notes at the counter. Product lookup works by barcode, part description or brand.
Can I sell by weight or measure?
Yes. Items such as hose, chain, cable or bulk fasteners can be sold by length or weight, and stock reduces by the amount sold.
Can I track serial numbers and repairs?
Yes. Serial numbers are recorded from arrival to sale, which helps with warranty claims. Repairs can be tracked with parts and labour, and the customer is told when the job is done.
Can I run trade pricing and accounts?
Yes. Club pricing gives mechanics and other trade buyers their price automatically at the counter. Customer accounts support credit limits, statements, aged balances and payment allocation, and statements can be printed or emailed.
Does it keep my website and shop stock in step?
Yes. Tower Systems connects to Shopify through Shopify Link, and also to BigCommerce, WooCommerce and Magento. An in-store sale reduces online stock, an online sale reduces in-store stock, and click-and-collect orders arrive as a normal sale.
Can I load supplier invoices without typing them?
Yes. Embedded AI tools read emailed, PDF and electronic supplier invoices and bring cost prices, retail prices, quantities and product codes into the stock file. Price changes are flagged for approval before they take effect.
Can I quote and order parts for customers?
Yes. You can prepare a quote and set the stock aside for that customer. When a part is not on the shelf, a special order is captured against the customer, with a deposit if one is taken, and the customer is told by SMS or email when it arrives.
Can I load supplier invoices without typing them?
Yes. Embedded AI tools read emailed, PDF and electronic supplier invoices and bring cost prices, retail prices, quantities and product codes into the stock file. Price changes are flagged for approval before they take effect.
Does it connect to my accounts and online shop?
Yes. Xero connects through Xero Link at no extra cost, and MYOB and Reckon connect through ABCIS. Tower Systems also connects to Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce and Magento, keeping stock in step between the counter and the website.
What AI tools are included?
Every plan includes the Insights Dashboard, which uses AI to explain what is selling, what is not and which lines are tying up cash. Direct integrations with ChatGPT, Google Gemini and Claude are included on the Advanced and Ultimate plans. They help write product descriptions for your website and compare pricing.
You control your own AI settings, including whether your data is used to train AI.
