Who We Are

Tower Systems is a vertical market software company. We build POS software for local, independent retail businesses — bookshops, produce businesses, garden centres, jewellers, charity shops, gift shops, bike centres, and other specialty retailers.

In November 2024, the business was acquired by Vela APX, a division of Constellation Software (TSX: CSU), a Canadian company that acquires and manages vertical market software businesses globally. The acquisition has not changed how we operate. Every team member who was here before that sale is still here today, doing the same work, for the same kinds of businesses.

Leadership Team

Mark Fletcher – Founder

Mark started Tower Systems after working as a programmer in the retail sector. He has spent decades in retail, sales, and marketing, and is the person behind the POS software decisions that shape what our customers see every day.

Gavin Williams – General Manager

Gavin oversees our operations and leads the architectural design of our software. He grew up working in a family retail business. That background keeps him focused on building tools that actually work on the shop floor, not just in theory.

Luke Matheson – Software Development Manager

Luke spent 15 years in the field — installing our software and training customers across multiple retail channels. He now leads our development team. The result is software built by someone who has seen what breaks and what works in real stores.
